In conjunction with the
International Symposium on Signal Processing and its
Applications (ISSPA) and "Ecole National Polytechnique (ENP)",
the International Summer School on Signal Processing and
its Applications (ISSSPA) was set up initially to
promote the signal processing research activities in
developing countries taking into account the need of
such scientific events in the Maghreb region.
ISSSPA is emerging as a summer school dedicated to
signal and image processing research. It is a forum that
gathers well known researchers and PhD students from
universities and industrial groups involved in the
development of new applications of Digital Signal
Processing.
Areas of interest include topics such as:
• Satellite, Radar & Sonar processing.
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• Signal Processing in Geophysics (Seismic Signal
Processing, Petroleum Prospecting).
• Stochastic processes in power systems.
• VLSI for Signal & Image Processing.
• Biomedical Signal & Image Processing.
• Biometric Systems & Security.
• Image Processing
• (Filtering, Segmentation, Classification
• Time frequency signal processing,
• DSP for Telecommunications, and
• Signal processing using neural networks.
The applications are oriented toward the above mentioned
fields.
The first ISSSPA took place at "Ecole Nationale
Polytechnique, Algiers’2004", the second at the
University Abdelhamid Ibn Badis, Mostaganem’2005 and the
third at the University of Jijel, Jijel’2006.
For the 2007 ISSSPA session, the Steering Committee
favored Boumerdes University to host the fourth edition
from June 30th to July 04, 2007.
Former editions can be found in the indicated websites.

The objectives of the International Summer School on
Signal Processing and its Applications, ISSSPA are
To allow meetings for ideas exchanges,
To share the experiences between researchers.
It is also meant:
To be a fertile ground for learning where doctorate
students are given opportunities to present and discuss
the results of their search in poster sessions, and
To obtain experts’ feedback, and
To learn about the state of the art in the fields of
interest. |
